Truth and Beauty

Let all that you do be done in love.

Our materials are us. The Tynton in a coat, the wood in a chair, the copper in a phone all come from the same earth we were made from. They are the things that warm us at night and keep us cool in the day, that hold our food and carry our children. When we stop caring for them, we stop caring for a part of ourselves. It starts small: a shirt worn twice, a closet no one opens, a landfill no one sees. Then it climbs the ladder. A culture that wastes what it makes learns to waste what it is. Material suffering isn’t only having too little. It’s forgetting what we have. Tyn exists to remember it, so that what one person no longer needs reaches the person who does, and what no one can use returns to the earth as material for something new.
